My Experience
Grabbed this on offer at Tesco. Surprisingly solid for a light lunch, but we need to talk about the safety label this thing is missing.
Fair warning: this pot is an absolute fibre grenade. You are looking at nearly 25g of your 30g daily limit in one sitting. Unless you are incredibly well-hydrated, do not eat this before a board meeting unless you want to be the reason the room gets evacuated. It is relentless on the beans.
Texture-wise, it is having an identity crisis. It claims to be a stew, but it is definitely just a thick soup. It is very tomato-spiced-heavy and smells the part, but don't expect any heat. The harissa content is a pathetic 2%, so it is there for the vibe rather than any actual spice.
That said, the contents are actually impressive. The beans aren't absolute mush; there are plenty of them, they have got a proper firm bite and actual distinct flavour, which is rare for a microwave pot.
Nutritionally, it is a bit of a weird one. Decent protein (20g) and obviously enough fibre to unclog a drain, but the calories are quite low ~356cal. If you are an active person or an average-sized bloke, you will definitely need to pair this with some bread or you will be starving again in an hour.
Overall, a good healthy option if you are at home. 4 stars.
