My Experience
Alright, next is the vegan friendly Wasabi Vegetable Gyoza Yakisoba, which proudly sports a "new tastier recipe" sticker. For a brief moment, I thought this one might actually be okay. The taste wasn't half bad... but then I saw the nutritional information. Jesus.
First, the meal itself. Oh look, the filler peas are back! My favourite. The gyoza, all four of them, are decent enough. They're quite sweet, and only getting four feels a bit cheap, but they're edible. The noodles are the same generic stuff found in their other meals, and the teriyaki sauce is fine. It all combines into a meal that is completely passable. You could eat this and think, "Yeah, that was okay."
But you absolutely shouldn't.
This is where this meal goes from mediocre to just plain vile. The nutritional content is so horrifying I had to double-check it. What were they smoking when they made this? This single meal contains an astronomical 27.7g of sugar and 3.9g of salt. Let that sink in. That's nearly seven teaspoons of sugar and 65% of your entire daily salt allowance. In one bowl of noodles.
This is, without a doubt, a vile hazard to your health. The passable taste is just a mask for one of the most outrageously unhealthy ready meals you can buy. No amount of gyoza or shitty filler peas can justify those numbers. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
